{"id":650646,"date":"2023-07-06T12:16:29","date_gmt":"2023-07-06T04:16:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.kounis.com.au\/?p=650646"},"modified":"2023-07-06T12:18:01","modified_gmt":"2023-07-06T04:18:01","slug":"70th-anniversary-gala","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.kounis.com.au\/70th-anniversary-gala\/","title":{"rendered":"70th Anniversary Gala"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"td-entry-content\"><p>A milestone anniversary deserves a milestone celebration and our 70<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary Gala Dinner was everything we\u2019d hoped it would be.<\/p>\n<p>As well as the memories, the stories, the laughs and the black-tie glamour, the event was also a celebration of what\u2019s yet to come for our company as we kicked up our heels and looked to the future.<\/p>\n<p>One of the highlights of the evening \u2013 and there were many \u2013 was a surprise video message from then Premier Mark McGowan, who congratulated our entire team on what he described as an \u201cincredible milestone\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKounis Group is a true WA success story, growing from humble beginnings to now supplying major mining, infrastructure and commercial projects,\u201d Mr McGowan told the 200-plus people who joined us to celebrate seven decades of Kounis Group.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has played an important role in the growth of our State.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019d like to thank Kounis Group for your commitment to Western Australia, including keeping your operations headquartered here in WA.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Our founder Paul Kounis, who has just celebrated his 91<sup>st<\/sup> birthday and is still involved in the company on a daily basis, received a personal acknowledgement in the Premier\u2019s.<\/p>\n<p>Paul\u2019s son and Kounis Managing Director, Dave Kounis, also paid tribute to his father\u2019s resilience and can-do attitude, which have become embedded in the company\u2019s philosophy.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou can\u2019t afford to be scared of growth and change in our industry,\u201d Dave says.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cKounis Group has been part of some huge changes over the past seven decades. Yes, there\u2019s more that can be done to help keep industrial manufacturing on Australian shores, but we remain confident that Australian manufacturing has much to offer, both at home and overseas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>From humble beginnings to a nation leader in the design, manufacture and supply of metal products, we\u2019re especially proud of the Kounis story and know there are more chapters yet to write as we continue to evolve and grow.<\/p>\n<p>Our 70<sup>th<\/sup> Anniversary Gala Dinner was a remarkable evening and one we were honoured to share with so many of the family, colleagues and friends who have been part of our journey over the years.<\/p>\n<p>We are excited to continue the celebrations as we head to Victoria for our gala dinner on the 14th\u00a0 of July.<\/p>\n<p>In the words of Mark McGowan, here\u2019s to the next 70 years!<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A milestone anniversary deserves a milestone celebration and our 70th Anniversary Gala Dinner was everything we\u2019d hoped it would be.
